Fans of Dune are getting ready for the big day — Dune: Part 2 hits theaters on Mar. 1, and ahead of the sequel's release, stars Zendaya, Timothée Chalamet, Florence Pugh, and Austin Butler made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Thursday night to talk about the highly anticipated sequel and get a little personal. During the chat, Zendaya shared that she and Chalamet have known each other for years and she proved just how close they are with a very specific detail: she helped him move.
"Speaking personally, I have great friendships with everyone here," Chalamet told Kimmel, who had asked the group if they had known each other or were friends before filming started. "Zendaya helped me set up my first apartment in New York years ago."
"Well, the vibe was very teenage boy," Zendaya explained. "And we just needed a few necessities — you know, cups and plates, knives and forks, things to clean. We needed some structure."
They went on to say that they went to Bed Bath & Beyond together and bought some essentials and a frame for Chalamet's mattress.
"There was a bed — no bed frame," Chalamet said.
"We got everything he needed — all the big-boy stuff," Zendaya finished.
This isn't the first time that the two opened up about their friendship.
In an interview with Variety in 2022 for Dune's first installment, Chalamet said that he was happy to be reuniting with a pal.
"She’s bringing exactly what she brought to the first one — which was incredible — but in greater abundance," he said at the time. "And she’s really become a sister. I’m so grateful to count her as a partner and a sister and a friend."
The film also stars Dave Bautista, Javier Bardem, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgård, and Charlotte Rampling, who will all be reprising their roles.
